In the Blink of An Eye - An exhibition of landscapes
In the Blink of An Eye presents artist Amy Shuckburgh’s atmospheric landscapes of Wiltshire.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Working in soft pastel, Amy uses bold colour and energetic strokes to depict woods, streams, barrows and standing stones.
Her dynamic mark-making gives each scene a feeling of movement and animation.
Capturing fleeting moments, ephemeral qualities of light, changing weather and season, the collection also hints at the deep geological time that forms the ancient landscape.
Born in London in 1977, Shuckburgh spent part of her childhood in Wiltshire, later living for several years in Somerset. She now lives and works in London.
The exhibition is open from Saturday 2 May until Sunday 12 July in the Racquets Court, which can be accessed through the Kitchen Garden.
Normal garden admission applies. Entry is free for National Trust members.
All works are for sale. To purchase a painting from the exhibition, please enquire at the Visitor Reception in the barn.
