As part of Heritage Open Days 2025, you can enjoy a visit to Avebury Manor Garden and the Alexander Keiller Museum for free on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Visit Avebury Manor Garden and the Alexander Keiller Museum for free on the first Friday and Saturday of Heritage Open Days 2025!
The garden will be awash with early autumn colour to be enjoyed from the numerous benches or borrowed picnic blankets. The popular sculpture exhibition will be on display, encouraging visitors to discover sculptures and art throughout, from bronze animals to stained glass, and from ceramics to reclaimed wood. On Friday 12 September, one of the artists exhibiting their work will be in the garden demonstrating different sculptural techniques and talking about their work.
The Alexander Keiller Museum offers visitors a chance to learn more about the wonderful history and archaeology of Avebury stone circles, from its founding over 4500 years ago, through the turbulent medieval period, to the re-erection of parts during the 1930s and the influence of Alexander Keiller.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a free guided tour of the stone circle with a knowledgeable volunteer guide. These take place at 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm, subject to volunteer availability.
Please come to the barn visitor reception when you arrive to collect your free tickets for all of the above!
Parking charges still apply. National Trust and English Heritage members can park for free.
