If you’re looking for fresh air and family fun, we’ve got plenty lined up for younger visitors during the October half-term.
Head to Avebury Manor Garden to take part in a nature spotter trail. We also have explorer backpacks available to borrow, which include binoculars to spot the bugs and butterflies plants.
If you would like learn more about the henge and stone circles, you can join a guided tour for families on Sunday 26 October, Wednesday 29 October, and Sunday 2 November.
We will also have colouring activities available on our children’s table in the barn, where you can also ‘build your own’ neolithic palisades on our new magnetic table.

This autumn, the garden at Avebury Manor becomes an outdoor gallery, hosting a range of beautiful sculptures and artwork set against the backdrop of colourful seasonal planting.

As 2025 National Trust Avebury artist in residence, Sarah Hobley has spent the year exploring the Avebury landscape through a series of short walks. The experience has been recorded on the pots in this special exhibition.
