Step inside the medieval manor

Explore Great Chatfield Manor and wander through atmospheric rooms.

At the heart of the house lies the Hall, flanked by unusually symmetrical gable cross wings and oriel windows. You might also recognise some of the rooms, which have featured on popular television series.

Over the years various films and TV shows have been filmed at Great Chalfield, including The Other Boleyn Girl, Tess of the d'Urbervilles and Wolf Hall, where it starred as Austin Friars, the home of Thomas Cromwell. Outside you can spot soldiers, griffons and a monkey carved into the rooftops.
