Explore the house to find out about life for a family of women in Regency Salisbury. The rooms have been furnished to reflect daily life for the Portman family. Discover what happened in the social season during a Regency autumn and just how spooky things were then.

There are four rooms with wheelchair access. We can supply a tablet with images of upstairs rooms and one room with a step downstairs.

The social season: A Regency year at Mompesson House
Join us in moving through a Regency year in the social calendar, from the Portmans family's return to Mompesson House in the spring, to their plans for a summer ball, and finally closing up the house again as they leave for the country in the winter.
A Regency Autumn
The Regency social season began to slow down in London in autumn - but in Salisbury, things are just getting busy.
Baby Tree Time (sensory baby outdoor play)
Take a moment to relax with your baby under the shady boughs of our golden rain tree in the tranquil city garden at Mompesson House. Meet up with a group or come by yourself, all are welcome.
Christmas at Mompesson
Immerse yourself in the Regency story of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King at Mompesson House. Christmas at Mompesson starts on Friday 20 November and runs until Tuesday 22 December, Friday - Tuesday, 11am-3.30pm (last entry at 3pm).
