Withens Clough Heritage Walk

Part of the Landscape for Water partnership project, Join the Yorkshire Water ranger team and local historian Paul Knights to learn about the history and ecology of Withens Clough and the surrounding moorlands.
We will take you through the past, present and future of the area as we walk, the route will lead us round the reservoir and up towards Stoodley Pike.
The ranger team will focus on the ecology and environmental work in the area whereas Paul will focus on the history.
The walk is 4.5 miles long and we will have a lunch break for a picnic in the middle.

The terrain on the walk is rough and varied so please be aware of your own ability.

Withens Clough carpark, Hebden Bridge.
- Suitability for children
Children are welcome if they are happy to walk.
- What to bring and wear
We ask that all attendees wear suitable footwear (walking boots). Bring a picnic and plenty of water. Feel free to bring along binoculars, the bird life can be very special.
