York is one of the ghostliest cities around and following their previous success in spooking the city, the ghosts are back…bigger and in more gardens than ever.
In Treasurer’s House garden looks out for a ghostly Edwardian Gentleman, a Victorian Lady and neighbourhood cat... where has he got to?
When closed, the large ghosts will be visible but visit during opening hours to get close to the skilfully formed mesh sculptures. Open Saturday - Wednesday, 11am - 4pm.
This year’s display promises to be bigger and better with ghosts added to more of York’s beautiful city centre gardens. There are 45 to spot as you explore and the trail runs 19 September - 5 November, but like Treasurer's House, some garden have selected access.
Thanks to the York BID (Business Improvement District) for the city-wide event of Ghosts in the Gardens. Pick up your city wide map for spook searching from the Visitor Information Centre on Parliament Street.
