Join the Rangers for a monthly ramble in the extensive parkland and woodlands of Wentworth Castle Gardens.
Running throughout the year, these informal walks will allow you to experience nature throughout the seasons in the company of an expert.
See what’s being planted and what’s in bloom; discover hidden wildlife; and ask questions about the important work undertaken by the Ranger team to look after and conserve the landscape.
The themes for the Rambles in 2026 are: January: Parkland and Trees February: Parkland and Trees March: Early Spring Bluebells and Blossom April: Blossom and Bluebells May: Blossom June: Summer Flowers and Wildlife July: Summer Flowers and Wildlife August: Summer Flowers and Wildlife September: Fruit and Nut October: Parkland and Trees November: Parkland and Trees
Depending on the weather and time of year, the walks will vary in length – from 1 hour in the winter to up to 2 hours in the summer, covering between 1.5 and 3 miles. Sensible footwear for muddy and uneven terrain is advisable.
No need to book. Meet outside the Long Barn Café at 11am.
The Ranger Ramble is a free walk, but donations towards our ongoing conservation work would be very welcome. Normal admission charges apply.
