Capture the low light and long shadows in this informal photography walk - an opportunity to try something new in the first month of the year.
With the sun setting early, this afternoon walk will allow you to appreciate the 'golden hour', when the light is ideal for taking photos. The walk will take you out into parkland to enjoy the monuments and take in the views, you might even spot some of the resident deer.
Bring your phone – or a camera – and join volunteer Steve and other like-minded people for an atmospheric walk in the parkland.
No experience needed. This walk is ideal for those who are new to photography.

Meet outside the shed near the Long barn café.
- What to bring and wear
Wear strong walking shoes and bring a camera or a phone with a built-in camera.
- Accessibility
Unfortunately, the parkland is not suitable for mobility scooters, wheelchairs or pushchairs. Please see the Access statement on our website for more details. This walk is not suitable for dogs.

The exact route will depend on weather conditions and interest on the day. You’ll be out walking and taking photos for around 90 minutes. If the sun is not visible, the walk will still go ahead as you'll be able to capture an atmospheric photo whatever the weather!
