Join our Senior Gardener Sally to discover more about the plant hunters who shaped the gardens and collections we see today.

Walk and talk through the gardens as you look at interesting seasonal plants and learn about the hunters and collectors who discovered them.
Some of the plants you will learn about along the route include Wollomi pine, Monkey puzzle and Windmill palm. We will stop to look at other plants of seasonal interest along the route.

Meet at the Conservatory. Please allow enough time to walk approximately 800 metres uphill from the carpark.
- What to bring and wear
Suitable footwear to walk on paths and some grass areas.
- Accessibility
The route follows hard standing paths up to the Victorian Flower Garden with a short walk across a grass lawn to re-join hard standing paths for the rest of the route to the fernery.
