Walk with a Gardener - Conservatory from then to now

Have you ever wondered about the Victorian glasshouse in the centre of the Gardens. Join our gardener Heidi to learn more about the history, design details and plant collections inside this beautiful building.

Join our gardener Heidi on a gentle stroll inside the Conservatory taking a closer look at at the layers of history in both the building design as well as the plant collections living within.

Take a tour around the world visiting the plant beds inspired by different continents, and learn about the plant hunters who brought the collections to Wentworth Castle.

Learn more about the work and objectives of the National Trust and take the opportunity to ask questions and gain ideas and advice for your own indoor spaces.

Meeting point

Meet inside the Conservatory. Please allow enough time to walk approximately 800 metres uphill from the carpark.

Accessibility

The Conservatory is reached via hard standing paths along a steady incline and there are two level access entrances. Our buggy shuttle service can give you a lift if required.
