Four Phases of Wentworth tours- Heritage Open Days
Join our volunteers to admire and learn more about the different historical phases of the mansion house, now managed by Northern College.

Explore the remarkable architectural features of Wentworth Castle's mansion house with our expert volunteers sharing their knowledge. Learn more about the Cutler, Baroque, Palladian and Victorian wings of the house from the outside on this guided exterior loop.
Tours will last around 40 minutes to 1 hour, and will start at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm from the Visitor Shed. Please book your place on arrival at the Visitor Reception.
Admission is free for everyone during the three days of the festival.

The basics
- Accessibility
The route around the mansion house includes historic stone steps, uneven surfaces and a grass slope. Unfortunately this tour is not wheelchair or pushchair accessible. This tour is a trial run and we are hoping to add an accessible route next spring. If you are unable to join this tour for access reasons but would like to find out more please speak to our volunteers in the visitor info shed.
