Get to know your feathered friends at Wallington


Visit Wallington this Easter and take part in birdlife inspired activities across the house and gardens, there will be interesting facts to learn about birds and hopefully you'll spot a few whilst you're here.

  • Get crafty
    They'll be bird inspired things to make and do whatever the weather in our toasty indoor play space “Toobelz House”.
  • Birds in the house
    The house is home to a collection of rare illustrated bird books by 19th Century ornithologist John Gould, we will have one of these special books on display throughout the school holidays as well as work by Thomas Bewick.

    See if you can spot the birds hidden in the collections as you explore the house.
  • Wildlife hide
    Nestled away in the West Wood, the family friendly wildlife hide is the perfect place to bird watch.  The many feeders attract a wide variety of birdlife as well as the occasional resident red squirrel.
  • Garden birds
    In the walled garden discover which plants are good for attracting birds, a trail will highlight the plants that have bird connections. 
  • Feeling peckish?
    Relax with a hot drink and treat yourself to a something tasty, they'll be chocolate nests and bird inspired biscuits to tempt you.
