The Long Barn Café at Wentworth Castle Gardens
Enjoy a small but delicious range of seasonal and locally sourced bites served in the Long Barn café, a short walk from the car park and perfectly placed to start your day out. All profits go back into the upkeep and conservation of our special place, so don’t feel any guilt about enjoying that extra slice of cake.
What's on the menu?
Our café has reopened and will be serving a limited range of hot and cold drinks and some light snacks (soup of the day, pasties, sausage rolls and sandwiches) and cakes.
On busy days you will find a soft scoop ice cream cart offering a variety of tubs and cones, outside the Long Barn café.
We’ve introduced new safety measures including screens at our till and collection points, and waymarked routes. We’ll also only be accepting card payment. We look forward to welcoming you back and know that you will support us to make this a safe experience for everyone.
We are proud to have achieved the Soil Association’s Bronze ‘Food For Life’ Award. You can be assured that:
• All of our eggs and milk are free range
• Our meats are red tractor approved
• Our tea and coffee are fairtrade
• We prioritise local ingredients where we can
Our takeaway packaging and cutlery are made from plants not plastic, and fully compostable.
Children’s picnic boxes are available with a sandwich, drink, two snacks and a sweet treat. We also have plenty of highchairs available for our smallest guests.
Dogs are welcome inside
*Not available while government guidance on social distancing remains in place.*
From Monday to Friday, well-behaved dogs are welcome to sit inside with you. During school holidays, bank holidays and weekends we have plenty of seating outside with views over our parkland and for miles beyond.
