The Long Barn Café at Wentworth Castle Gardens
Enjoy a small but delicious range of seasonal and locally sourced bites served in the Long Barn café, a short walk from the car park and perfectly placed to start your day out. All profits go back into the upkeep and conservation of our special place, so don’t feel any guilt about enjoying that extra slice of cake.
What's on the menu?
Our café is open and will be serving a limited range of hot and cold drinks and some light snacks (pasties, sausage rolls and sandwiches) and cakes.
On busy days during the warmer weather, you will find a soft scoop ice cream cart offering a variety of tubs and cones, outside the Long Barn café.
Some safety measures such as screens at our till are still in place, but we are no longer using a one-way route through the cafe. Face coverings are not compulsory but still recommended. We're now accepting cash as well as card payment. We look forward to welcoming you back and know that you will support us to make this a safe experience for everyone.
We are proud to have achieved the Soil Association’s Bronze ‘Food For Life’ Award. You can be assured that:
• All of our eggs and milk are free range
• Our meats are red tractor approved
• Our tea and coffee are fairtrade
• We prioritise local ingredients where we can
Our takeaway packaging and cutlery are made from plants not plastic, and fully compostable.
Children’s picnic boxes are available with a sandwich, drink, two snacks and a sweet treat. We also have plenty of highchairs available for our smallest guests.
Dogs are welcome inside
From Monday to Friday, well-behaved dogs are welcome to sit inside with you. During school holidays, bank holidays and weekends we have plenty of seating outside with views over our parkland and for miles beyond.
