Wightwick Manor and Gallery Opening - What to expect
We look forward to you visiting the ground floor of the Manor and the Malthouse Gallery. The upper floors will remain closed until further notice.
From Monday 17 May we will be welcoming visitors back to the ground floor of the Manor and the De Morgan Gallery. Open from 11am - 5pm each day (last entry to Manor at 4pm, last entry to Gallery at 4:30pm). From 1 November, our winter opening hours are 10am - 4pm for the site, with last entry to the Manor at 3pm and Gallery at 3:30pm.
Please note: The Manor will be closed on 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 November 2021 for essential conservation work.
Entry to the Manor and Gallery will be free-flow only and cannot be pre-booked. Please be aware that some rooms may be closed for safety reasons.
Keeping everyone safe
To keep you safe we have introduced a one-way route through the house and hand sanitising gel will be made available on entry. ‘Hands on’ elements have been removed for your safety.
We are also limiting the number of people who can access the Manor and Gallery at any one time, so we are asking all visitors to please queue for entry to each building.
Due to limits on capacity, it may not be possible for everyone to access the house during their visit. To ensure that as many people get to experience the house, we have started to open the Manor an hour earlier at 11am.
Face coverings are recommended in enclosed, crowded areas.
If you’re showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or if you've been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 14 days, please don’t visit.
We also ask that any large bags, rucksacks and large prams are not to be bought into the Manor. We are unable to look after these items for you, but we will have an area for you to leave your pushchairs outside. Likewise, we are unable to admit mobility scooters into the Manor as they can damage the historic floors; although electric wheelchairs are permitted. Please remove any valuables as they are left at your own risk.
Make the most of your visit
Our volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the house and gallery, so please do ask away! The majority of the Pre-Raphaelite art collection is on display for you to see on the lower floor, as are the most stunning rooms in the Manor.
In the De Morgan Gallery, you can see our new exhibition, Look Beneath the Lustre, which is in partnership with the De Morgan Foundation with items on loan from the V&A and National Portrait Gallery.
By visiting the Manor and Gallery you are helping us to develop a new experience that can be used to open more places that you love. Thank you for your support.
