Wightwick Manor and Gallery reopening - what to expect

The Great Parlour Wightwick Manor with an impressive interior

We are delighted to open the ground floor of the Manor and the Malthouse Gallery Friday -Tuesday, 11:30am – 4:30pm (last entry 3:30pm). The upper floors will remain closed until further notice.

From Monday 24 August we will be welcoming pre-booked visitors back to the Manor and De Morgan Gallery, Tuesday - Fridays each week. Please note that the timeslot you book is your entry time to the site, not to the Manor and Gallery.

Keeping everyone safe

To keep you safe we have introduced a one-way route through the house and hand sanitising gel will be made available on entry and exit. ‘Hands on’ elements have been removed for your safety.

We are also limiting the number of people who can access the Manor and Gallery at any one time, so we are asking all visitors to please queue for entry to each building.

Due to limits on capacity, it may not be possible for everyone to access the house during their visit. To ensure that as many people get to experience the house, we have started to open the Manor an hour earlier at 11am.

Government guidance

In line with government guidelines, you're required to wear a face covering in the Manor and Gallery (as well as our tearoom and shop) in England and Northern Ireland. Please bring one with you.

All visitors to the Manor and Gallery will also be asked to voluntary take part in the official NHS Test and Trace service.

To help keep everyone safe, please follow social distancing and government guidance when you visit. If you’re showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or if you've been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 14 days, please don’t visit.

We also ask that any large bags, rucksacks and large prams are not to be bought into the Manor. We are unable to look after these items for you, but we will have an area for you to leave your pushchairs outside. Please remove any valuables as they are left at your own risk.

Make the most of your visit

Our volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the house and gallery, so please do ask away! The majority of the Pre-Raphaelite art collection is on display for you to see on the lower floor, as are the most stunning rooms in the Manor.

In the De Morgan Gallery, you can see our new exhibition, Look Beneath the Lustre, which is in partnership with the De Morgan Foundation with items on loan from the V&A and National Portrait Gallery.

By visiting the Manor and Gallery you are helping us to develop a new experience that can be used to open more places that you love. Thank you for your support.

You can find out more about the collection here at Wightwick Manor on the links at the bottom of the page.
