Easter days out at Winkworth Arboretum

This article was about our Easter holiday activities in 2017. We'll be updating this with 2018 information next year.

Easter is a very special time at Winkworth Arboretum, with nature waking up everywhere you look. Put on your adventurer's hat and explore 149 acres of woodland on a Cadbury Egg Hunt.

Join the Cadbury Egg Hunt

From Good Friday (14 April) to Easter Monday (17 April), embark on a special hunt around the Arboretum to win a delicious Cadbury chocolate treat. £3 per hunt.

The Winkworth gnomes have been very busy creating a new woodland adventure for our smaller visitors ready for the Easter break. See if you can find it near the Winter Garden.

Delight in springtime sights

This year, Easter coincides with what's likely to be the best time to see bluebells at Winkworth. With a whole walk dedicated to the pretty springtime flowers, it's a sight not to be missed.

To fuel you up for your Winkworth wander, stop off at the Arbor tea-room near the kiosk for a homemade cake, tea and a biscuit or a light lunch.

Toilets are available nearby, including baby-changing facilities and a disabled toilet, and there is a variety of pathways through the Arboretum with differing levels of accessibility.

You're welcome to bring your dog, as long as you keep them on a lead; and groups are welcome - though it's advisable to call in advance during spring and autumn.
