Winkworth Arboretum, Surrey

Autumn colour

Winkworth's picturesque landscape glows with colour as trees reveal their autumnal glory. Scarlets, vermillions and ambers carpet the hills, and rare shrub specimens offer up strange and beautiful fruit. Read our guide to autumn colour at the Arboretum to make the most of your visit.

To fuel you up for your Winkworth wander, stop off at the Arbor tea-room near the kiosk for hot lunches, homemade cakes, tea and coffee lunch. We'll also have hot drinks and bakes available to buy from our tuk-tuk near the play area, which is cash only.

Toilets are available nearby, including baby-changing facilities and a disabled toilet, and there is a variety of pathways through the Arboretum with differing levels of accessibility.

You're welcome to bring your dog, as long as you keep them on a lead; and groups are welcome - though it's advisable to call in advance during spring and autumn.
