East Riddlesden Hall
Historic house and intimate gardens with lots of natural play areas for families to enjoy.
Crisp, sunny mornings and the nights drawing in, autumn is just around the corner. As you can't visit right now, here's a virtual tour of East Riddlesden Hall as the seasons start to change. Our borders are still full of late summer blooms like dahlias, lilies and hydrangeas.
Let's get ready to crumble
Autumn is when we start to gather the fruits in our formal garden. We have many different varieties of apples. These are Laxton's superb, a dessert apple.
Our roses keep blooming into early autumn. The climbing roses in the formal garden bring a dash of colour to the borders even on rainy days.
The golden colours of the leaves is one of the best things about autumn. Everywhere you look nature is preparing for winter. All the fallen leaves keeps our gardeners busy though, as we try and keep the lawns clear.
