Stone circle tours

Group walking around Avebury

The stone circles tours are volunteer run and we will be bringing these back as soon as we can. We will update this page as soon as we have a firm date.

Our guides know the henge and stone circle like the back of their hands and are experts at transporting you back to the Neolithic, explaining about the people who built this spectacular structure, and how they achieved such a seemingly impossible task.

The tours run most days at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm and cost £5 for adults, children £2.50 and under 5s are free. Sign up at the Visitor Reception when you arrive.

Tours vary in length depending upon on the individual group, but are usually between 45 minutes and an hour.

Our tour guides are all volunteers and do a wonderful job of sharing their extensive knowledge and love of Avebury with visitors, come rain or shine.

Once you've taken the tour you may wish to visit the museum
