Walk in the footsteps of our ancestors in this iconic landscape; rich in archaeology and supporting a wealth of wildlife and plants.

Join in the Challenge

Walk 50km over eight walks in this thought provoking and inspiring landscape with it's wide open skies and clean, fresh air - it's the perfect way to embrace health, breathe and relax...  

Each walk varies in length from between 3km (approx 2 miles)  to 9.5km (approx. 6 miles), four are located in the Avebury landscape and four in the Stonehenge landscape and will describe the wildlife, plants and archaeology you may see on your journey.

To undertake the challenge you have to complete the walks at your leisure but before the 31st December 2017 when you have the opportunity to enter into a prize draw for a fabulous prize.

Registration for the walks costs £10.   Your registration fee goes directly towards caring for these iconic landscapes.  You will then receive your information pack which includes:

  • instructions on how to complete the challenge;
  • eight self guided walks around the World Heritage Site;
  • a handy map case to hold your walks;
  • a voucher for a free cuppa at Avebury.
