Christmas comes to Baddesley Clinton
We always decorate the house for Christmas, and this year we are doing it in Tudor style – with a bit of a twist.
We’ll be doing it with dried flowers! All summer long our gardeners, staff, volunteers and visitors have been collecting flowers which have been hung up to dry and now we're busy making them into beautiful wreaths, swags and posies to decorate the house. You'll be able to see the results from November 25 to January 5.
Fancy having a go yourself? Here's all you need to know to make a scented orange slice Christmas tree decoration.
The children can be occupied in the Moat Room making origami flowers and then venture outside to have a family photo taken with our scarecrow Father Christmas and his sleigh, complete with reindeer and bundle up warm and take a walk around our estate for stunning panoramic views.
Penny, one of our volunteers, will be demonstrating mincemeat making in the house kitchen. She'll be in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5 & 6, 12 & 13 and 19 & 20 December. You will see her showing how to make it, and have the opportunity to taste a delicious sample!
Over in the restaurant you can pre-book a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Here are the details you'll need.
