Belton International Horse Trials 2017

Belton’s International Horse Trials is a 3-day equestrian event that takes place in the parkland each spring. This year the event takes place from Friday 31 March to Sunday 2 April and marks the 35th anniversary of the Horse Trials. The event is managed by Bede Ltd and runs independently of the National Trust.

We have provided some information below, but please refer to the Belton International Horse Trials website for full event details: www.belton-horse.co.uk. Belton House and Grounds excluding the parkland will be open as usual during the Horse Trials weekend. The parkland will be accessible by event ticket only, via the Lion Gates. If you’re planning to attend the Horse Trials, please see below:

There will be no vehicle access to the event via the Belton House entrance. Event ticket holders are required to access the park via the Lion Gates, located on Londonthorpe Road in Grantham (NG31 9SQ).  Temporary signage will clearly signpost the entrance.

Please visit the Horse Trials website if you wish to purchase advanced tickets for the event. On the day tickets will be available at the Lion Gates.  National Trust visitors wishing to attend the Horse Trials will also be able to purchase tickets at the Oval access point. The ticket price applies to all visitors, including National Trust members. Equally, event tickets don’t include admission to Belton House and Grounds; normal admission charges apply to anyone wishing to visit the site.
