Beckland Woods bluebell walk
A walk offering quiet woodland and spectacular sea views as well as natural history and archaeological interest.

Start:
National Trust Car Park; grid ref: SS286260

From the car park follow the path down to the woods, signed Beckland Woods.

Upon reaching the gate, enter the woods and follow the Run England markers, across the bridge and to the right.
Bluebells
Great to run during spring, a fabulous bluebell woodland.

Continue to follow the Run England markers up to Windbury Head/Hillfort and along the South West Coast Path before returning back down to the woods.
Windbury Hillfort
One of several Iron Age Hill Forts along the North Devon coast. There is more information about the hill fort at the site from the North Devon AONB.

Continue along the South West Coast Path heading up the zigzag slope. At the base of zig-zag path keep to the path upslope to the right –the track to the left just terminates at a cliff edge.
Mouthmill
Admire views of Black Church Rock

Follow the path across the stile and back into the woods along the top path, following the markers back along to the car park.
Wildflowers
Wildflowers and Staghorn Fungi on tree trunks to right of path are abundant here.
