After normal admission pick up your free 50 things to do before you're 11¾ booklet from the Information Centre as well as our new bespoke Cliveden 50 things map, and start your outdoor adventure from the moment you arrive. Here are a few of our top spring activities to get you started.
Head for the woodlands where you’ll find branches galore to build a perfect den. If you’d like some pointers, then look out for ‘Clive’s Den’ that we’ve built near the play trail.
Bring your kite to the paddocks and see if you can catch the breeze. There's nothing quite like the swell of the wind under your tethered airborne toy.
Get on your hands and knees to look up close for little paw prints. Can you see any dropping clues? Investigate those mysterious holes in the ground and see if you can track a wild animal.
Pick up sticks – or fallen leaves – in the woods or gardens and lay a trail for your family to follow. Please don’t pick sticks from living trees or plants though.
Delve under logs, look under rocks, peek between bits of bark and investigate with a magnifying glass between little blades of grass for little creatures that live in Cliveden's gardens.
Nothing reminds us of sunny afternoons quite like making a pretty daisy chain. Use your thumb nail to make a hole in the stem before pushing the stem of the next daisy through.
Cliveden’s a haven for wildlife – keep your eyes peeled and listen carefully. To get a closer look, don’t forget your binoculars or you can buy a children’s pair in our shop.
Perfect for parents and little ones alike, placed next to the Storybook Play Den this pretty little café serves hot drinks and snacks to fuel your playtime.
