Crom Campsite FAQs
Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about Crom campsite.
Where is the nearest food shop?
The shop on the Crom estate has a limited supply of convenience items. There are larger shops and amenities Newtownbutler which is approximately 3 miles away.
Where is the nearest town or village?
Newtownbutler is the nearest village to Crom estate and further afield is Enniskillen approximately 18 miles to the north.
Where is the nearest cafe?
At Crom Little Orchard Tea Room serves a range of delicious meals including homemade specials, soups, sandwiches, paninis and salads to name but a few, as well as a range of both hot and cold drinks. Open from 11am – 5pm.
Where is the nearest bank?
There is cash machine at the local petrol station in Newtownbutler – 3 miles away.
Do you take bookings?
Yes pitches and pods can be booked online.
Do you accept dogs?
Yes, two well-behaved dogs per pitch on a lead are welcome at the campsite and wider estate.
Can I park my car by my tent?
Parking is not allowed on the camping area; however there is free car parking within easy reach.
Are there showers?
Yes, showers cost £1 for 10 minutes.
What activities are there?
The Crom estate is teeming with wildlife, has numerous walks and offers boat hire so that you can explore the slow meandering section of Upper Lough Erne.
Can we go fishing nearby?
Crom is a fishing paradise. Fermanagh offers some of the best coarse fishing in Northern Ireland. Fishing permits are required; they are available for 3 or 14 days from the Crom visitor reception.
Do you accept trailer tents/caravans/campervans?
Due to the limited limited amount of pitches we can only accept tents.
Do you have laundry facilities?
There is a tumble dryer available on the site.
Where is the nearest bus stop?
Alight 3 miles from the estate in Newtownbutler – this runs from Enniskillen to Clones (connections from Belfast).
Do you take credit card payments?
Yes we accept most credit and debit cards.
Are you open all year round?
The campsite is open from March until October.
Can I book a Group pitch?
We are happy to welcome organised groups such as educational groups, DofE, Scouts, Guides, etc. to the site. Proof of group status may be required when booking. Please note there is a designated area for Groups a short walk from the main campsite.
Family and friend groups are only accepted with prior agreement but our site is not suitable for stag, hen or birthday parties.
All group bookings must be made via the booking office and cannot be made online. Call 028 6773 8118.
Can I have a fire or barbecue?
Barbecues are permitted; please ensure they are raised from the ground. No campfires permitted except in the designated communal campfire area.
Can under 18s stay at the site?
Under 18s must be accompanied by an responsible adult. Bookings can only be taken from those over the age of 18.
