Discover the maze at Cliveden, Buckinghamshire

The Cliveden Maze, Buckinghamshire

How long will it take you to find your way to the centre of the maze at Cliveden, in Buckinghamshire? With more than 1,000 two-metre-high yew trees creating 500m of winding paths, it’s a real challenge.

The garden puzzle took two years to make and is a re-creation of a maze designed and built for Lord Astor, the former owner of Cliveden, in 1894. But there’s no need to worry about getting lost.

It may be more complicated than it first looks, but most people solve the maze in less than 20 minutes.

If you want to be sure you'll solve the maze, you can purchase a guide to the Cliveden Maze from the shop which includes a plan showing the quickest way into the middle.
