Christmas wreathmaking workshops at Fell Foot
What better way to get into the festive spirit than by designing your own Christmas wreath, made from all-natural Lake District materials.
Thursday 5 & Friday 6 December, 10am-2pm
Join our Ranger Jo (and her Ranger dog, Bob) as you forage around the park, cutting berried holly, juniper, box and yew and anything else you’d like to use (within reason of course!). As you walk you’ll learn more about the history of the park, the trees and plants within it, and the work that’s been done to restore elements from its Victorian heyday. Head back to the Active Base with your spoils, where more decorative elements such as dried citrus fruits will be provided to help you take home a wreath you’ll be proud to hang on your front door.
When we break for lunch, help yourself to the following (all included in the price)
Choose from a selection of freshly made sandwiches
Turkey, cranberry and stuffing
Cheddar, onion marmalade and rocket
Prawn, Marie rose and spinach
Egg mayonnaise and cress
Brie, cranberry and spinach quiche
Rosemary, roasted beetroot and chickpea salad
Root vegetable crisps
Cranberry and pumpkin seed flapjack
Sweet mincemeat shortbread
Hot spiced apple juice
Price for the workshop is £40, including buffet lunch and parking. All materials will be provided.
