February half term fun at Fell Foot

Boy on a balance bike

With plenty of space to run around, a toddler play area and easy access to the lakeshore, Fell Foot's family-friendly park is a great place for pulling on your wellies and exploring.

We’ve also got loads of free activities happening over half term. Here are our top reasons to visit this February:

Orienteering in South Snowdonia

Orienteering workshops

Get a taste of orienteering at this free drop in event on Monday 17th and Wednesday 19th February. Join the Lakeland Orienteering Club outdoors and have try orienteering first hand. There will be three courses to try around the park; a short accessible course, a slightly longer yellow standard and a scored course. This event is appropriate for all ages, drop in anytime between 10am and 3pm at the Active Base.

Pizza landrover

Wood fired pizza

Sample a freshly made pizza straight from our Landrover's pizza oven, right on the lakeshore. From mozzarella to ham and mushroom or garlic bread, we hope we can tempt even the pickiest of eaters.

Little Explorers walks

Stretch little legs with a series of guided, nature themed walks around the park for pre-school children. These increasingly popular basic walking routes are suitable for the whole family and led by staff and volunteers. They're an ideal way to get little ones active and engaged in the great outdoors and the best thing is - they’re free!

Hire a balance bike

We've got a selection of balance bikes and helmets in various sizes available to hire free of charge from the Boathouse Cafe down on the lakeshore or the Cottage shop on the hill. They make getting around the park an adventure whatever the weather!

Hunting for bugs as part of your 50 things to do before you're 11 and ¾

50 Things to do before you’re 11¾

Pick up a 50 things booklet from our team in the car park and get stuck into checking items off your list.

Outside eating at Fell Foot

Treats for all the family

We’ve got lots of family-friendly options at the Boathouse Café, from tasty lunch boxes to jacket potatoes and sausage rolls, cakes and ice cream. We hope there’s something to suit all diets and tastebuds, but don't worry if not, picnics are welcome too around the park.

The wild play and toddler play areas

The wild play and toddler play areas provide fantastic starting points for your family adventure. From there, your little ones are sure to find their own favourite places to play in the wider park. If it’s dry enough, why not have a hill rolling race or a game of frisbee?
