Fitness classes at Fell Foot
Our health classes are designed with beginners in mind, so that all ages and abilities feel supported in a safe and comfortable environment. If you’re looking to boost your confidence and slowly get back into fitness, we hope there’s something in our range of classes to suit you.
Our friendly Fitness Instructor Dan will alter each class to the requirements of its participants, so make sure to let him know when you arrive if there’s something you’re worried about. Each class will take place inside our state-of-the-art Active Base, which has luxurious changing rooms and a fantastic view north over Windermere. When the weather begins to warm up in the spring, there’ll be the option for each class to head outside into the fresh air of the park.
All sessions are an hour long, and cost £7.
Beginners' Fitness Group (Mondays at 1pm and Fridays at 9.45am)
Can’t do a press up? No problem! Get active with us, exercising in a friendly environment where everybody is welcome. These sessions will motivate you and slowly build up strength and resilience; this is circuit training done at your own pace and in a fun atmosphere.
Pram Fit (Thursdays at 10am and Fridays at 11am)
Bring your baby along to these classes designed to ease you back into a gentle workout. We’ll be bodyweight training on the yoga mats provided to strengthen and tone various muscle groups and improve balance. Once the weather warms up in the spring, we'll head outdoors with the babies and buggies to make the most of the park’s paths and inclines.
Wellness Wednesday Workouts (Wednesdays at 2pm)
Wellness Wednesdays concentrate on physical, mental and social wellbeing in amongst the beautiful surroundings here at Fell Foot. Keeping active together in a supportive group with the aim of improving fitness, flexibility and confidence is at the heart of this class. We’ll be evolving exercises around adaptable workout stations to create your own bespoke circuit for your whole body.
Intermediate Fitness Group (Mondays at 10am and Thursdays at 12pm)
If you’ve built up your confidence and feel ready for the next step, we also run an Intermediate Fitness Group, so if you’re interested in a variety of fitness exercises for cardio and strength building, this class is for you. Sessions will consist of a mix of bodyweight training, free weights, running, obstacle courses, mini competitions and HIIT to get you motivated. Working with our fitness instructor you’ll be supported to challenge yourself and reach your own personal goals.
