Stretch your legs at Fell Foot

Lakeshore by Fell Foot

There are two recommended walks here at Fell Foot, but feel free to explore off the beaten track. Try the easy loop down to the lakeshore or venture further afield to the meadow.

Just so you know...

Route one

This short walk through the parkland is fully accessible. Walk past the gothic boathouses which have been newly restored with help from heritage lottery funding. You'll also see the Active Base, our fantastic new changing rooms which are available to use by anyone. Along the shoreline enjoy stunning views (with plenty of photographic opportunities!) north to the Fairfield Horseshoe. If you're with little ones, why not drop into the children's playground and burn off some energy.

Route two

If you want to get away from it all, we'd recommend this 2.5k route around the whole park. This route is a little more strenuous and takes you to our wildflower meadow. Continue along the shoreline until you reach a gate. Go through the gate and explore the most southerly tip of Fell Foot. You'll be rewarded with some stunning views and the chance to spot some rare wildlife such as Water Rails.
