Fell Foot one-mile canoe trail

Canoeing trail

Before you set out make sure you have the right skills and equipment for this trip and that you have checked the weather conditions and water levels. When the lake is high the flow on this section becomes hard to paddle back against and this trail is no longer of an easy grading. Click here for more information on paddling safely and responsibly. The launch point at Fell Foot Park is the start of the River Leven which meanders down to Newby Bridge, where it then picks up pace as it cascades down waterfalls and rapids on its way to the Greenodd Estuary and on to the coast at Morecambe Bay. Information correct as of April 2014.
