Autumn walk Houghton Mill

Autumn at Flatford 

If you're looking for somewhere to take the family this autumn then Flatford is worth a visit. We have a children's activity pack, children's trails, '50 things to do'sheet to complete. Until the end of October the Stour River Trust have river trips, the RSPB garden is open and we will be operating our row boats for hire.

Constable Tours

Visit the scenes that made John Constable famous. Guided tours available from April 1 11:30am and 1:30pm daily. Tours start at Bridge Cottage. Please ring ahead on the day to check a guide is available 01206 297201.

Flatford Book Nook

Flatford's second-hand book nook is a great spot to pick up a bargain and help support our conservation work. Books are sold at bargain prices and all proceeds go towards a worthy cause. We are always on the look-out for books to add to our stock. If you are in need of a home for your old books we'll be pleased to have them.

Flatford Galley - Kit Leese

Four Seasons by Kit Leese 

Come and see Kit Leese's excellent art exhibition at the Boat House Gallery here at Flatford. Kit is a professional artist who has been painting and selling his work for the last 40 years. He has always had a passion for landscape, and likes to paint on the spot. He finds gouache ideal media for catching the immediacy of changing light across the East Anglian landscape.

Christmas at Flatford 

Join the staff and volunteers at Flatford for a traditional Christmas celebration on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December 2019 from 10.00 - 4.00pm.  Entry is free, but there is a parking charge of £5 per car for non NT members
