Walking in the Footsteps of Constable

Walking in the footsteps of Constable

This Flatford and Constable walking trail is featured on ITV's Britiain's Favourite Walks: Top 100. This is a moderate, 4 to 7 mile walk that explores the picturesque Stour Valley and Dedham Vale, made famous by the 18th-century paintings of John Constable, England’s foremost landscape artist of the time.

Flatford's second-hand book nook is a great spot to pick up a bargain and help support our conservation work. Books are sold at bargain prices and all proceeds go towards a worthy cause. We are always on the look-out for books to add to our stock. If you are in need of a home for your old books we'll be pleased to have them. Currently closed.

Visions of the Landscape

Boat House Gallery

Suman Gujral is a fine artist. She has shown her work extensively in the UK and is in many private collections. She specialises in printmaking techniques- particularly monotype and etching and draws inspiration from the landscapes that she lives in, works and goes on holiday. These prints are all based on her sketches. Some are a response to Flatford, to our coast and others are inspired by a recent trip to California. Unfortunately Suman Gujral' s exhibition is not currently open as all our buildings are closed. Please take a look at her website www.sumangujral.com to enjoy her wonderful prints.
