Corporate Volunteering at Ham House

Corporate volunteering at Ham House

Corporate volunteering days are a great way for you to develop your team whilst spending time outdoors and contributing to your community. Join us at Ham house to conserve Ham and Petersham Meadows for future generations to enjoy.

Nestled on the leafy bank of the Thames, Ham is a truly special place. A rare and atmospheric 17thcentury house, Ham is the creation of the tenacious Duchess of Lauderdale and her husband, the Duke, who together transformed it into one of the grandest Stuart houses in England.

Why volunteer at Ham House?

  • Enjoy the perfect team-building experience in the great outdoors - oppertunities include habitat maintenance and Himalayan Balsam bashing
  • Discover the hidden gem that is Ham House and Garden – a real retreat from the busy routine of office life, yet easily accessible from central London. Richmond station is 1 1/4 miles from Ham House with a beauitful walk along the tow path or a 10 min bus journey on the 65 or 371
  • Benefit the local community (and of course, Petersham Meadow’s resident herd of Belted Galloways!) by helping our team of National Trust gardeners to maintain this part of the protected view from Richmond Hill
  • Your voluntary donation goes directly towards looking after this special place, for ever, for everyone
