Springtime family days out at Hatchlands

Leave your big coats and woolly hats behind and visit Hatchlands Park as the winter weather gives way to the first flushes of springtime. You might still need your wellies though. We’ve got lots of excellent activities for the whole family, so brush off those winter cobwebs and enjoy an outdoor adventure alongside the green shoots of spring.

Visit our natural adventure area for children. Get to grips with hand-crafted willow tunnels, domes, balance beams, sculptures and a totem pole, we've even got wood piles for den building. With picnic benches for tired parents, find us on the map in Great Wix Wood.

A family picnic at Hatchlands Park

Picnic in the park

In our most popular months our café spaces can become extremely busy. Why not pack a picnic and head out into the beautful park and garden for a spot of al fresco dining.

To supplement your perfect picnic you can find frosty treats at the Jude’s ice-cream cart in the courtyard, or grab a coffee or soft drink to take away from the Coach House. You'll also find a great range of picnicware and food in our shop, from blankets and bamboo eco cups to host of delicious snacks to stash in your hamper.
