For a brief time the Monarch’s Way path runs from the car park and into the traditional Cotswold hamlet of Hidcote Bartrim. Traditionally thatched stone cottages that were once home to Johnston’s gardeners, give the atmosphere of a forgotten era.
A network of public footpaths also lead from the car park with great views over the Vale of Evesham and the Cotswolds.
Nearby Chipping Campden is full of history and a great place to explore. The bustling high street is home to the Market Hall with its paved floor, lovingly worn by shoppers and traders over the centuries. Independant shops and traditional tea-rooms line the High Street.
Located just outside Chipping Campden and only 10 minutes by car from Hidcote is Dover’s Hill. It’s great for walking and plays host to the famous Olympick Games each May.
