The accommodation is all on the ground floor. Inside you’ll find everything you need, from a small, but perfectly formed kitchen to the double bedroom and shower room. After exploring and enjoying Dinefwr Park and Castle, curl up in front of the woodburner in the living room.
You’ll find the cottage is a wonderful base for everything in Carmarthenshire or even Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion should you wish to travel a little further out on day trips. Walking, biking, the coast and hills are all at your fingertips. Within a 20 minute drive we have the National Botanical Garden of Wales, the wonderful Aberglasney Gardens, Brechfa Forest, Paxtons Tower and Dolaucothi Goldmines plus the market towns of Llandovery and Carmarthen.
If eating out is your thing, there is an abundance of pubs, cafés and delis within walking distance or just a few minutes’ drive. Llandeilo itself boasts many small independent shops selling anything and everything, from local crafts to specialist cookware and bespoke chocolate and ice cream.
If a trip to the seaside is what you are after, an hours' drive will take you deep into Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. From New Quay or Tenby you can enjoy boat trips, wonderful beaches and delicious fish and chips. Why not stop off at Colby Woodland Gardens or Llanerchaeron to enjoy more of what the National Trust has to offer. More beautiful walks and gardens await you with a promise of a cream tea and a coffee at one of our wonderful cafés. We are sure whatever you choose to do, you will enjoy setting out from and returning home to Cariad Cottage.
