More information

Access: The island is accessible by ferry.  A private National Trust ferry service runs from Sandbanks Jetty (BH13 7QJ) on a scheduled service for holiday guests, staff, volunteers and island residents only. We ask guests to arrive between 3.30pm and 4.30pm so that we can accommodate departing guests. If arriving later than 4.30pm please contact the Property Office on 01202 707744 (by 1.30pm on the day of your arrival) for advice on ferry times.

Passes for the private NT ferry service to and from Sandbanks are provided for guests on arrival for unlimited use during your stay.

Luggage: Maximum weight of 15 kg for any item. There are steps on and off the boat service to the island and all luggage must be easy to transport. Holdalls, small bags and rucksacks are ideal. The boatmen may request that luggage be reduced in weight if too heavy, and that large cases be separated into smaller bags.

Large groups: Custom House can be opened up on the ground floor with the adjoining Agent’s House to accommodate larger groups.

Heating: Eco electric radiators included.

Parking: There is parking available for one car on the Sandbanks jetty. Details will be included in your holiday information documents.

Garden: There is flat hard standing area outside the front of the cottage with a set of patio furniture.

Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm at this cottage.

Free entry for cottage guests into the Dorset Wildlife Trust reserve on Brownsea Island.

Utilities/Electricals: There is no washing machine at this cottage.

Bicycles: We are sorry but no bicycles are allowed on the island.

Please note: For all enquires relating to your stay including inventories, bedding and other provisions, please contact the Holidays team.

The private NT ferry service does not run on 25 & 26 December or 1 January.
