Newly converted Custom House is one in a row of cottages located in a stunning spot on Brownsea Island. Right at the water’s edge, the cottage has the sea lapping near the front door. Inside the single-storey house you’ll find a bright and modern space with contemporary furnishings.

After all the visitors go home, make the most of having your very own island. Wander through woodland, explore the heathland and discover Brownsea Island’s bird-filled lagoon. It's in these quieter times that you're most likely to spot the island's red squirrels, which are most active in spring and autumn, and deer.

Take a ferry to the Isle of Purbeck and discover a unique landscape with habitats ranging from dunes to sandy beaches, sheer cliffs to centuries old ruins.

Agent's House (sleeps six) is next to Custom House and both cottages can be booked together. On the south side of the island is Brownsea Island CampsiteSt. Mark's Bothy (sleeps five) and South Shore Lodge (a bunkhouse sleeping 12).
