About Weston Farm Campsite

Escape to wildlife-rich countryside at Weston Farm Campsite on the Isle of Purbeck. Set in a tranquil meadow, it offers sea views and a network of paths to dramatic coastline, rocky coves and an unspoilt beach.

Ideal for families, the campsite is just a 30-minute downhill stroll to the local beach, Chapman’s Pool. There you can swim, look for fossils or dip into rock pools. Or if you prefer wilder coves, there are the rocky ledges of Winspit and Seacombe on the rugged coastline to the east. Campers also benefit from free admission to National Trust properties, including Corfe Castle which is a 10-minute drive away.

For longer-distance walkers, the site is just five minutes from the South West Coast Path. It’s also perfectly placed for exploring the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its incredible rocks and fossils.

If you love wildlife, you’ll be able to watch hares chasing in the fields and listen to skylarks singing from high above. As night falls, look for ghostly barn owls swooping low over the fields, or glow-worms twinkling in the hedgerows. The site is part of a National Trust project to restore the farmland to wildlife-friendly grassland and woodland pasture.

The small village of Worth Matravers is a ten-minute walk away, where you’ll find a tearoom and pub. It’s just a short drive to the nearest shops in Corfe Castle and Swanage.

There’s plenty of space for guests to pitch their own tents, and there are also ten basic bell tents available to book. In keeping with the wild, natural feel of the site, there are simple toilets, showers and washing-up facilities.
