About Whitefields Cottage

Stay in this relaxed cottage with the feel of a farmhouse in the heart of Yorkshire. With enough room for six people, it’s ideal for special get-togethers. It can also be booked with adjoining The Boot Room which sleeps a further two people. The dining table is perfect for big celebratory meals, and afterwards you’ll love to sink into the comfy leather sofas around a roaring log burner. You’ll have an enclosed lawn garden with picnic benches and plenty of space for dogs to run around.

Guests can enjoy free access to wander across the 700 acres of the busy Studley Royal deer park from the doorstep. Staying here really gives you the opportunity to experience life in a  working deer park. You’ll also have the privilege of your own key to experience the atmospheric ruins of Fountains Abbey and the beautiful Georgian water gardens once the day visitors have left. The cottage is just a 10 minute drive from Ripon town centre, where you’ll find plenty of cosy restaurants and pubs to enjoy.

You’ll be 20 minutes from the dramatic moorland rock formations of Brimham Rocks and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Or if you want to go further afield, it’s about an hour's drive into the windswept wilds of the Yorkshire Dales, where there are lots of walking routes. Other places to visit include the York Treasurer’s House, Nunnington Hall and Beningbrough Hall and Gardens.
