Rewarding walks this season at Ilam Park
A quiet and colourful time of year to explore the limestone hills around Ilam Park and Dovedale.
Colourful walks and far reaching views
This month the colours are changing and the views are endless making it an ideal time for a quiet walk in the Peak District. Our team of friendly volunteers lead free walks in Ilam Park and beyond each Monday and Friday morning.
The drop in walks start at Ilam Park stableyard at 11:00am prompt, and each week the volunteers choose a different route for a 2 hour walk across the parkland, fields and woodlands in the area.
Dogs on leads are welcome to join the walks, as are children. All walks include uneven ground, slopes, hills and stiles, so please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
There is no need to book onto the free walks, just meet us at the stableyard in Ilam Park.
Circular walk in Ilam Park
The family friendly 1 mile circular walk in Ilam Park is available in the free welcome leaflet and the route includes a stroll along the avenue of lime trees on Paradise Walk and views towards Hinkley Wood. Listen out for owls, pheasant and buzzards and don't forget your camera! Dogs are welcome but please keep them on a lead to avoid disturbing livestock.
