Volunteering at Kedleston Hall

Kedleston wouldn't be the same without our team of enthusiastic volunteers. From gardening to getting into character as Mrs Garnett, Kedleston’s renowned housekeeper, and from inspiring visiting school groups to historic housekeeping, there are plenty of ways to get involved, both indoors and out. Whatever part you decide to play, you’ll know that you are helping to conserve and enhance this special place for everyone to enjoy.

Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and everybody’s skills and talents are useful. No prior knowledge or experience is needed as full training and support is provided for all our roles, but there are also opportunities for you to use your existing knowledge and share your skills with others.  There is no such thing as a ‘typical volunteer’ at Kedleston and we are always looking for new and enthusiastic people to join our friendly team.

Volunteering opportunities currently available at Kedleston and nearby National Trust properties are listed on the website here.  Just type in your location or the property name and the roles currently being recruited for will be displayed.
