Winter Wander Trail

This winter, bring along the family and treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Kedleston. The magic of Nick Butterworth’s children’s stories is brought vividly to life in the Park Keeper’s Winter Wander Trail.

Percy the Park Keeper’s Winter Wander Trail

The winter trail will run outside and is focused on you becoming Percy’s helper for the day, helped by his animal friends, and stepping into his ‘wellies’ while he is busy on site! As Percy’s helper there will be winter tasks, activities, and games to complete, along with clues and a note from Percy to help you. A prize will be awarded at the end for all your hard work helping out Percy.

The trail costs £2 (please note normal admission prices apply) and can be purchased from our visitor welcome building whilst stocks last. The trail runs until the end of January and is around 1.7 miles (Kedleston's Short Walk). Allow at least 1 hour to complete the trail with children. Please refer to the updated access statement available on the website for full details of access around the site.

Please be aware the site is particularly muddy as we head into the winter season so we recommend you dress appropriately with sturdy footwear for your visit.
