Bring a picnic
Pick a quiet spot to lay down the rug. Bring your hamper and enjoy a traditional picnic in the parkland. The Park Cafe is now open for takeaway snacks and hot and cold drinks. We hope you enjoy the tranquil moments to be had on lazy days, all we ask is you take any rubbish home with you.
Admire the view
Walk a few minutes and to your delight you’re at that view that seemed so distant only a while ago. Stay late in the afternoon and wander off the beaten track to areas you may have missed before, to see the sun dappling shadows over the formal gardens creating a particularly special place to admire Lanhydrock, a place of picture-perfect views.
Try a midweek visit
We know some of you like a more peaceful visit. We’re busiest at weekends, so if you’re looking for a quieter day out, why not visit during the week if you can?
The Plant Centre reopened from Thursday 2 July, 11am-4pm for all those quality garden essentials and gifts. From beautiful ceramic pots to gardening tools, rugs, hats and more, there is plenty to browse. Did you know all of our plants are grown here on site at the Lanhydrock plant nursery?
