Could you become a Guildhall volunteer?

Volunteer Room Guides at the Guildhall Lavenham

People from all walks of life generously give their time as volunteers at Lavenham Guildhall. With a huge range of skills and interests, our volunteers are an essential part of the team.

Whether it's to meet new people, learn a new skill or just to share your time, people volunteer at Lavenham Guildhall for a wide variety of reasons.

From meeting visitors and sharing the Guildhall story with them, keeping specialist craft skills alive, working in our garden or supporting the team behind the scenes, there are as many roles as reasons for being here.

We're always ready to welcome new volunteers to the Guildhall team and whatever your inspiration or area of interest, we're bound to have a role for you.

Meet the team

We've been spending some time meeting some of our exisiting volunteers and hearing more about their stories and what brought them here. And who better to bring those stories to life than one of our existing volunteers?

Alan Wheeler volunteers at both Lavenham Guildhall and Melford Hall and has been meeting some of the people giving their spare time to these special Suffolk places.
