Volunteer room guiding at Melford Hall

The National Trust would be nothing without its volunteers. A large army of people support the small team employed at Melford Hall. Currently we are closed and most of our volunteers are at home waiting to get ready for re-opening when needed. We cannot wait for the time we can get back together again and do something we all enjoy.

Melford Hall is a beautiful country residence, with an eclectic mix of styles. It has history, triumphs and disasters in bucket loads. What better place to spend a few hours a week.

Our volunteers get involved in all aspects of the running Melford Hall. Most obviously as Room Guides answering the queries of our visitors, but also as conservationists, researchers, tea room and shop assistants, Greeters, gardeners, Event planning and running and even marketing.
Maybe you would like to make use of the experience you have gained through life or alternatively you are at the start of your career and would like to build your CV, then volunteering at the National Trust is for you.

When we re-open we will be welcoming our volunteers back with open arms and great joy. At the same time, we are sure to have vacancies that need filling. So if you are interested please keep an eye out for the opportunities that will become available.
