The house displays a permanent collection of 20th-century art, and we hold several exhibitions a year in our top-floor gallery.

Please note that the house is closed from 30 May - 3 July, in the first few weeks of November, and for a few weeks in January. The art gallery is closed between exhibitions.

Garden lovers will enjoy grounds designed by some of the greatest names in horticultural history. There's year-round interest, from spectacular spring bulbs to a colourful winter garden.

Rose season

Mottisfont's walled gardens are home to a world famous old-fashioned rose collection created by horticulturalist Graham Stuart Thomas. Flowering once a year in late May - early June, these spectacular blooms are very popular with group visitors.
