Summer adventures

Rediscover Penrhyn’s garden and woodland. The perfect place to book for spending special family time. There’s plenty of nature fun to be had; imagine being as small as a mouse to being as tall as a tree on our trail. Take a moment, meander through the meadows, listen to the birds or join our bees and find tranquillity in the Walled Garden. Find your way down to river Ogwen and enjoy woodland fun, you might need your wellies! Penrhyn Castle is set against the Menai Straits, with a backdrop of Snowdonia’s mountains. There is plenty to see and connect with outdoors.

What refreshments are available?

We will be offering a limited range of takeaway hot and cold drinks and some light snacks including ice cream from the Stable Yard kiosk. We've introduced new safety measures including closure of our seating areas indoors but do offer outdoor tables and chairs, screens at our tills, and waymarked routes. We'll also only be accepting card payment. We look forward to welcoming you back and know you'll support us to make this a safe experience for everyone. Picnics are also welcome.

Helping you eat out

From 3 August you'll be able to get 50 per cent off your bill, up to a maximum of £10 per person on food and drink bought at and consumed at our café (excluding alcoholic drinks), through the government's Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. The scheme applies from Monday to Wednesdays only and ends on 31 August.
