Volunteers welcoming visitors at Petworth House

It's that time for New Year's resolutions. From getting more exercise in the garden to learning something new as a Room Guide or even just meeting new people, there are plenty of resolutions you can tick off in 2017 by becoming a volunteer with us. The best part is you can volunteer as much or as little of your time as you like.

Volunteer with us

Our team has a really important task, to take care of this amazing place and to bring it to life for our visitors. Volunteering your time to help with this work is a great way to get involved, learn new skills and share existing ones while meeting other like-minded people.

" I love being a volunteer; it's such a privilege to be amongst all this beauty and to continue learning. When I think of what I knew then and what I know now, it's enriched my life enormously. I am always recommending people to volunteer. It's very flexible but any time given is so appreciated and so worthwhile!"
- Kim, Room Guide

Get involved

There are many ways to volunteer your time with us from helping with the conservation of the great outdoors and magnificent mansion to making our visitors feel welcome and inspired. We love story telling, and we've certainly got a lot of tales to tell, were looking for great hosts, people who love Petworth and want to play their part in the conservation and presentation of this special place.
