We stock a large range of books including local maps and walks, great for learning that little bit more about your visit and exploring the area.
Take home some locally made wine, cider, preservers and biscuits. We often have samples to taste in the shop so make sure to stop by to see what's available.
Keep an eye out on our latest offers and sales that change throughout the year.
Petworth features in the new National Trust food line
Items from the collection of Petworth House have been chosen to cover packaging for some of the National Trust's newest items.
Pick up the Wild Garlic and Rosemary Biscotti or the Grapefruit & Gin Marmelade and take home a piece of Petworth with you.
Each item comes with a litle bit of a story linking an item from the collection to the product.
Fancy a picnic?
Stretch out in Petworth Park with a picnic this summer. From rugs, hampers, cool bags, tea towels, serviettes and crockery we have everything you need for a good quality picnic.
Petworth House Bookshop

Support local businesses
We have lots of items made locally available in our shops. Be sure to look out for the wooden bowls made from the wood of fallen trees collected from the estate by local woodturner, Tim Lawson.
One of our staff here at Petworth also makes felt brooches, available to buy at Petworth. Beverley Harris gets her inspiration from different cultures around the world but her love of nature, especially from the wildlife here at Petworth, is clear. Each piece of felt is different so you can be sure that your brooch is entirely unique.
A keen bookworm? Pop into the secondhand bookshop in what was once part of the Estate Office located off the Servants' Quarters corridor and pick up a bargain book. Feel free to to also drop in and donate any unwanted books.
