Enjoy a summer evening of outdoor theatre at Quarry Bank

Actors in character as Phileas Fogg and his valet Passepartout

Make the most of the long summer nights with an evening of outdoor theatre in the beautiful gardens at Quarry Bank. Local society the Wilmslow Green Room will be performing Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days on 7 and 8 July 2017.

Around the World In 80 Days tells the story of Phileas Fogg, who lives a life of perfect control and regularity, going every day to his club and letting nothing stir his equilibrium, let alone his heart.

But he's never one to turn down a bet. So when someone suggests that he can't possibly travel right round the world in just 80 days, Phileas is prepared to wager his fortune to prove them wrong.

Join Phileas and his valet, Passepartout, on a hair-raising adventure racing around the globe on 7 and 8 July in an amateur production by the Wilmslow Green Room. The performances will take place surrounded by Quarry Bank's upper gardens, with the newly restored glasshouse to the side of the stage.

Add a little indulgence to your evening with a range of delicious hampers and snack packs. Enjoy the show with sandwiches, scones and a glass of bubbly with Phileas Fogg's Luxury Explorer Basket, or order Colonel Stamp's and Captain Speedy's adult and kid's snack packs for tasty goodies for all the family. On the night, the fully licensed garden café with be open before the performance and during the interval serving a variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks.
